The team said in a news release Monday that Jones has signed a two-year, $975,000 contract.
He played 46 games with the Predators during his rookie season, scored 17 points with seven goals and 10 assists.
Jones was drafted by Minnesota in the fourth round in 2004.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded goaltender Justin Pogge to the Anaheim Ducks for a conditional draft pick in 2011.
