Jackson sidelined by sprained wrist.

Golden State scoring leader Stephen Jackson missed the Warriors’ game against New York on Saturday night because of a sprained left wrist.

Jackson was hurt sometime during the Warriors’ five-game trip and aggravated the injury in a 112-97 loss at Cleveland on Friday night.

Marco Belinelli got his first start of the season in place of Jackson.

Jackson averaged 21.4 points in Golden State’s first 16 games.

Russell Westbrook: Will Remain a Bench Option.

Westbrook, who totaled 15 points and eight assists in a season-high 34 minutes Friday, wont move into the starting lineup in the near future, The Oklahoman reports.
New coach Scott Brooks said he has no timetable for inserting Westbrook into the starting lineup. Right now I think our lineup is at a good place, Brooks said. I love what Russell does for us. Hes getting better. Westbrook averages 26 minutes a game off the bench. Hes good at creating his own shot, but all too often drives haphazardly into the lane packed with defenders, which partly explains his woeful 1.64 assist-to-turnover ratio.
