PITTSBURGH Daniel Sedin scored a goal and set up two others as the Vancouver Canucks edged the Pittsburgh Penguins, 3-1.
Vancouvers celebration will likely be tempered because superstar goaltender Robert Luongo left the game in the first period with an apparent left leg injury.
Luongo, who leads the NHL with five shutouts this season, went down attempting to make a save on a shot that was blocked in front. He was helped of the rink by the training staff, putting no weight on his left leg.
Pavol Demitra scored two goals - including an empty-netter - and Henrik Sedin added three assists for the Canucks, who are 7-0-2 in their last nine contests.
Mike Zigomanis tallied the lone goal for the Penguins, who were handed their first regulation loss this month.
OTTAWA 4, NY RANGERS 1
OTTAWA Four different players scored and Alex Auld turned made 18 saves as the Ottawa Senators snapped a six-game losing streak with a 4-1 triumph over the New York Rangers.
Jason Spezza opened the scoring 5:43 into the first period with a power-play tally.
Rookie Jesse Winchester and captain Daniel Alfredsson scored 82 seconds apart late in the second period to give Ottawa a three-goal cushion
After Markus Naslund scored for the Rangers 92 seconds into the third period, Nick Foligno regained the three-goal bulge for the Senators midway through the session with his fourth of the season.
Stephen Valiquette turned aside 32 shots for the Rangers.
BOSTON 3, MONTREAL 2 (SO)
MONTREAL Tim Thomas stopped all three attempts in the shootout to make rookie Blake Wheelers first-round goal stand up as the streaking Boston Bruins recorded a 3-2 triumph over the Montreal Canadiens in a battle of Original Six rivals.
Milan Lucic and rookie defenseman Matt Hunsick tallied in regulation and Thomas turned aside 33 shots for Boston, which improved to 12-1-1 in its last 14 games.
After dropping 12 consecutive regular-season contests to the Canadiens, the Bruins have won each of the last two meetings between the Northeast Division foes.
Tom Kostopoulos recorded a goal and an assist, Andrei Kostitsyn also tallied and Carey Price made 25 saves for Montreal, which retired Hall of Famer Patrick Roys No. 33 prior to the game.
CHICAGO 5, TORONTO 4 (OT)
TORONTO Dave Bolland scored 48 seconds into overtime as the Chicago Blackhawks rallied for a 5-4 triumph over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Patrick Sharp netted a pair of goals before Patrick Kane and Ben Eager tallied in the third period for Chicago, which allowed the first three goals of the game and trailed by two after 40 minutes.
Bolland added an assist while defensemen Duncan Keith and Brian Campbell notched two apiece for the Blackhawks, who improved to 3-0-0 on their six-game road trip.
Matt Stajan and Alexei Ponikarovsky each recorded a goal and an assist while blue-liner Pavel Kubina and Dominic Moore also scored for the Maple Leafs, who honored former left wing Wendel Clarks No. 17 during a pregame ceremony.

CALGARY, Alberta Jiri Hudler snapped a tie with 8:39 remaining in the third period as the Detroit Red Wings scored three times in the session en route to a 5-2 triumph over the Calgary Flames.
Pavel Datsyuk recorded a goal and an assist and Kirk Maltby, Marian Hossa and defenseman Brett Lebda also tallied for Detroit, which improved to 7-0-1 in its last eight games.
Blue-liner Andreas Lilja notched a pair of assists and Ty Conklin made 31 saves in his third start in four games for the Red Wings, who improved to 10-1-1 away from Joe Louis Arena.
Curtis Glencross notched a goal and an assist and defenseman Mark Giordano netted his first goal of the season for Calgary, which saw its two-game winning streak come to an end.
PHILADELPHIA 4, PHOENIX 3 (OT)
PHILADELPHIA Captain Mike Richards set up the game-tying goal with 67 seconds left in regulation and scored 1:35 into overtime as the Philadelphia Flyers rallied for a 4-3 triumph over the Phoenix Coyotes.
Jeff Carter recorded a goal and an assist and Scott Hartnell and Mike Knuble also tallied as Philadelphia notched its fourth straight victory.
Martin Hanzal registered a goal and an assist, Daniel Carcillo netted his first tally of the season and former Flyer Todd Fedoruk also scored for Phoenix, which fell to 0-4-1 in its last five games.
NY ISLANDERS 4, BUFFALO 2
BUFFALO, New York Andy Hilbert recorded a goal and an assist and Joey MacDonald made 35 saves as the New York Islanders skated to a 4-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres.
Jon Sim netted a power-play goal, captain Bill Guerin added his seventh tally of the season and defenseman Mark Streit had an empty-netter with two seconds left in the third period for the Islanders, who have won four of five.
Buffalo outshot New York, 37-26, overall and by a 18-2 margin in the second period, during which MacDonald kept the Sabres off the scoreboard.
Recalled from Portland on Friday, Mark Mancari - the leading scorer in the American Hockey League - scored in his second game of the season and Derek Roy also tallied for Buffalo, which has lost a season-high five in a row.
COLUMBUS 2, ATLANTA 0
ATLANTA Captain Rick Nash scored a goal and set up another and rookie Steve Mason recorded his first career shutout as the Columbus Blue Jackets posted a 2-0 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers.
Mason faced just 15 shots, turning aside four in the first period, five in the second and six in the third while the Blue Jackets dominated the puck. It tied a franchise record for the
fewest shots allowed in a game.
Defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen set up the first goal with a slap shot from the left point. Rookie Derick Brassard deflected the puck to Nash, who tapped it in from the doorstep at 8:36 of the first period for his 10th goal of the season.
R.J. Umberger buried the puck into an empty net with 78 seconds remaining in the third for his eight goal of the season.
ST. LOUIS 2, MINNESOTA 1
ST. PAUL, Minnesota Brad Boyes scored two goals as the St. Louis Blues erased a deficit to post their third win in four games, a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild.
Chris Mason stopped 31 shots en route to handing the Wild back-to-back losses at home for the first time this season. Minnesota had not dropped consecutive contests in regulation at Xcel Energy Center since November 21-23, 2007.
Stephane Veilleux scored his second goal of the season and Niklas Backstrom made 24 saves for the Wild, who fell to 0-2-0 on their five-game homestand.
ANAHEIM 2, DALLAS 1 (SO)
DALLAS Ryan Getzlaf scored the decisive goal in the third round of the shootout, lifting the Anaheim Ducks to a 2-1 triumph over the Dallas Stars in a battle between struggling Pacific Division rivals.
Corey Perry tallied in regulation and Jonas Hiller made 31 saves for the Ducks, who won for just the second time in their last seven games (2-3-2).
Loui Eriksson scored and Marty Turco turned aside 23 shots for Dallas, which has lost three straight at home and fell to 1-3-2 in its last six overall.
SAN JOSE 7, WASHINGTON 2
SAN JOSE, California Ryane Clowe scored two goals, Rob Blake recorded four assists and fellow defenseman Dan Boyle set up three tallies as the San Jose Sharks continued their dominance at home with a 7-2 thrashing of the Washington Capitals on Saturday.
Captain Patrick Marleau, Devin Setoguchi, Joe Thornton and blue-liner Marc-Edouard Vlasic each had a goal and an assist, while Mike Grier netted a late tally in his return to the lineup as the Sharks improved to 11-0-1 at home and 19-0-2 in their last 21 contests at HP Pavilion dating back to last season.
Defenseman Tom Poti and Tomas Fleischmann scored for the Capitals, who have matched the second-best record through 20 games (11-6-3) in franchise history despite having lost two in a row.
Alex Ovechkin extended his points streak to seven games with an assist but was not able to lift Washingtons offensive unit, which is hampered by the injuries of Alexander Semin and blue-liner Mike Green but got back Sergei Fedorov in this one.
COLORADO 4, LOS ANGELES 3 (SO)
LOS ANGELES Marek Svatos and Milan Hejduk both scored in the shootout and Peter Budaj stopped both shots he faced in the bonus format as the Colorado Avalanche posted a 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Kings.
Budaj stopped Patrick OSullivans wrist shot before Svatos beat goaltender Erik Ersberg between the pads with a backhander. Dustin Brown was denied on Los Angeles second attempt, and Hejduk slipped in another backhander to seal the win.
Hejduk, Wojtek Wolski and Paul Stastny scored in regulation and Budaj stopped 27 shots for the Avalanche, who snapped a two-game skid.
OSullivan, Brown and Alexander Frolov tallied and Ersberg made 26 saves for the Kings, who have lost three of four (1-2-1).
