Saunders was scheduled to start Tuesday at Seattle, but Jered Weaver and Jon Garland will be pushed up in the rotation. Weaver will start Tuesday, and Garland will start Wednesday.

Were not going to pitch Joe on Tuesday, as hes a little bit weak right now, Angels manager Mike Scioscia said prior to Sundays game against the Texas Rangers. Hes going to skip the start and pitch on the weekend.

The pain (Saturday) was the worst pain Ive ever felt in my life, Saunders said. It was constant hell. It wouldnt go away.

Saunders, who is 16-7 with a 3.52 ERA in 30 starts, will start the September 28 regular season finale against Texas.

Colorado Rockies catcher Chris Iannetta left in the top of the seventh inning of Sundays game against the Arizona Diamondbacks with an apparent arm injury.

Iannetta laced a two-out single in the seventh against Arizona reliever Leo Rosales, but was promptly removed as Adam Melhuse came on as a pinch runner.

The 25-year-old is batting .273 with 18 homers and 61 RBI in 91 games this season.
